IAN DAWES PROFILE

 

A real livewire midfield player, who burst on the scene in spectacular fashion with a flurry of goals last season for the under 17's.  A spate of injuries to Dave Shannon's side gave the then 15 year old his chance, and he responded with six goals in as many games from midfield.  He hasn't been as prolific this season, but his performances have been full of promise, and he will be looking to make the step up to under 19 level before the end of the season.  A strong tackler with a ferocious shot, he's very much in the Sammy Lee mould, only a lot quicker!
