Huyton boy Karl is a powerful forward who did well last season in a struggling side.

Formerly with Tranmere, he missed the first few months of last season with a stress fracture of the foot, but made up for lost time with a string of good performances on his return to action.

Bears a passing resemblance to Alan Shearer in looks and style of play, and will be hoping to impress enough at u17 level this season to perhaps get a promotion to John Owens' u19 side, who are a bit short of strikers this year.
