'Robbo' is from Formby, and is a fine defender who can play anywhere across the back four. The centre of defence is his preferred position, but he was used mostly as a full back last season, especially after regular right back Chris Spring left the Academy to move back to London.

Not as comfortable going forward as he is defending, but it is rare that an opponent gets the better of him. May well operate at centre half this season.
