  • West Ham 0 Liverpool 5 (Dec 29 2024)

Stating the obvious here but we were very good and West Ham were criminally bad. I don’t think there are many teams that could live with us in this form, but West Ham sure as shit aren’t one of them and that made for the easiest game we’ve had all season.    On Sky they were calling us “ruthless” and “clinical” because we won 5-0, but I couldn’t disagree more. We won 5-0 despite being wasteful as fuck. Mo on his own should have scored five, never mind the rest of the team. He got one a

  • Alisson: This group has to create its own history

Alisson Becker says a new chapter has started to be written  but the past achievements will never be forgotten.   The Brazilian goalkeeper is one of the senior members of the current Liverpool squad and  played a key role in what was a golden era for the club under Jurgen Klopp.   When the German called time on his managerial reign at the Reds, even the most optimistic fan would have expected a period of transition and inconsistent periods under the new man in charge.

Slot: We are proof that there are more ways to be successful than spending a lot of money

Arne Slot says the pathway that the key decision makers at Liverpool are taking has been vindicated by their fine start to the season.   The Reds manager made the comments in relation to Liverpool’s closest title challenger at this present point of time which is Chelsea.   Since the Todd Boehly era started in May 2022, the West London outfit have spent a mind boggling £1.1 billion on players with a Net Spend of £656.1m.   In that same time frame, Liverpool have spen

  • That was the Week that Was (Dec 30 2024 - Jan 3 2025)

Monday Dec 30:   Been away for a while due to illness, so just seeing if there’s anything I missed that’s worth bringing up now. Lijnders was sacked. Surprised it took so long, as there was no way he was still going to be there when Klopp took over as that would have been awkward as fuck. I feel sorry for him but he just isn’t cut out for the big job. There was a point a year or so back when I’d have given serious consideration to letting him have a go here to replace Jurgen, just for

    Premier League Round Up (Dec 28 2024 - Jan 1 2025)

United lost again but City finally got a win, albeit an undeserved one. Probably the biggest story of the past week though has been Chelsea’s total implosion. It seems like only a week or two ago that they were a win at Goodison away from going top, and now they’re ten points behind having played a game more. Actually it was only a week or two ago. Kinell.   It’s not like they’ve had particularly tough games either. Everton, Fulham and Ipswich isn’t that taxing. People laughed at Mares

Premier League Round Up (Dec 21-27 2024)

City lost again. Did anybody really expect anything else though? All piss taking aside, was there anybody who thought they could go to Villa and win? There was no chance of that happening. None.   Right now there are maybe only four or five teams in the league that City are capable of beating, and even then they’d probably need to be at the Etihad to do it. The way they’re playing, they didn’t have a hope in hell of turning Villa over.   The only surprising thing to me is how

    Round Ups 6

    Liverpool 3 Leicester City 1 (Dec 26 2024)

Straightforward enough in the end. We fell behind early again, which is irritating, but it wasn’t because of a slow start as we were actually looking good until they scored out of nowhere. One of those things, I guess. It can happen, but I’d rather it happen five minutes in than five minutes from the end.   It certainly wasn’t going to worry me as we’ve seen enough from this team to know they don’t panic and they’ll come back. Plus Leicester are shite and have been giving up more shots
