Monday Dec 30: Been away for a while due to illness, so just seeing if there’s anything I missed that’s worth bringing up now. Lijnders was sacked. Surprised it took so long, as there was no way he was still going to be there when Klopp took over as that would have been awkward as fuck. I feel sorry for him but he just isn’t cut out for the big job. There was a point a year or so back when I’d have given serious consideration to letting him have a go here to replace Jurgen, just for

United lost again but City finally got a win, albeit an undeserved one. Probably the biggest story of the past week though has been Chelsea’s total implosion. It seems like only a week or two ago that they were a win at Goodison away from going top, and now they’re ten points behind having played a game more. Actually it was only a week or two ago. Kinell. I think that game went pretty much how it should have done. By that I mean when we’re thinking about what should happen against a team that plays the way Spurs do, this is it.
