  • Liverpool 3 Southampton 1 (Mar 8 2025)

Considering I went into this already certain that the title was in the bag, it was surprising how angry and unsettled I was at half time. There’s playing bad, and there’s playing like it’s a fucking Legends Game. The lack of intensity and tempo in our play in that first half was genuinely disgraceful.   Tiredness isn’t an excuse because they were able to do it in the second half and that wasn’t just because three changes were made. It was because the intent was there after the break a

  • Jota: It has been a personally difficult season for me

Diogo Jota has spoken openly about his frustrating season to date where he struggled to get any momentum going due to injury setbacks. The 28 year-old has dealt with his fair share of injuries throughout his five year stint missing 97 games through various ailments.   That large number of missed games has been a real blow to both Jurgen Klopp and now Arne Slot as when fit, the Portuguese forward has proven himself to be man for the big moment, seemingly always there when the Reds need

Liverpool Cannot Afford to Lose Mohamed Salah This Summer

The ongoing uncertainty about Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool has not a had a damaging impact on his performances for the club.   Salah has bagged 30 goals and 22 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions this season – numbers which hammer home his importance to Liverpool. Despite this, the club have yet to agree a new deal with the 32-year-old, sparking fears that he could walk away from Anfield this summer.   Plenty of top European clubs would be eager to sign Salah

Slot: I always protect my players but will not accept when they do not give everything

Arne Slot has explained in detail his comments regarding Darwin Nunez  which came after the Uruguayan striker had an evening to forget against Aston Villa last week.   In a tense encounter at Villa Park and the scores locked at 2-2, Nunez who is beloved and maligned by the Reds fanbase in equal measure missed a guilt-edged chance to put the visitors in front.   After undoubtedly being the hero a few weeks before against Brentford, it was a snapshot of the career of Nunez in L

That was the Week that Was (Mar 3-7 2025)

Monday Mar 3:   The accounts are out and honestly I can’t think of anything more boring. I can’t be arsed reading through any of it as ultimately it means fuck all as these things are just too layered for average joe’s like me to understand. We made a profit in A, but look at the loss in column B, that’s ok though as it’s offset by an ownership loan that causes column C to look healthier and…. Ah just fuck off, don’t care. We know that we’re one of the more sensibly run clubs in the le

    PSG 0 Liverpool 1 (Mar 5 2025)

Sometimes you just have to laugh. A largely terrible performance where we could barely string three passes together and where the opposition looked like world beaters, but somehow we came away with a win after only having one shot the entire night.   The reason for that is pretty simple though; the best goalkeeper in the world producing the best performance of a stellar career. Maybe the best goalkeeping performance ever? Certainly as far as Liverpool is concerned anyway. Peter Schmeic

That was the Week that Was (Feb 24 - Mar 2 2025)

Monday Feb 24:   What the fuck are Daniel Levy and the rest of the Spurs board playing at? Emailing all the media outlets to ask them not to refer to them as “Tottenham” and that it must be either “Tottenham Hotspur” or “Spurs”. Get the fuck out of here you precious, arrogant wankers. Apparently this is about “the brand” but honestly, just fuck off. No wonder Tottenham fans hate this cunt. Yes, that was deliberate and I’ll be referring to them as Tottenham until further notice, as will

Premier League Round Up (Feb 21-27 2025)

Lot to get through in this one as it’s a weekend plus a full round of midweek games to cover. I’ll start at Goodison. Now some of you might have been surprised to see the Blues playing at home given we saw the big emotional farewell to “the old lady” a couple of weeks ago, but that wasn’t actually the last game being played there.   I know to the casual observer it must have looked like it, but that’s just because it was the “last game that mattered to Everton”.   This week t
